Claiming WTC and CTC whilst living with friends.

I am currently living with friends with my daughter due to my previous relationship breaking down and having nowhere else to live.

I earn £102 a week working 16 hours a week.

There are 6 adults in the household, 2 of them work full time.

Can I claim WTC and CTC as a single person or does the incomes of the other people in the household effect my claim?

According to the calculator on HMRC I am entitled to £4619 a year however that is based on the HOUSEHOLD income £5459 (my income).

There wasn't a box on the calculator to add other people.

if you are living with friends, their income doesnt form part of your household income.

your household is just you and your child.

housing benefit could be tricky, but you will have no problem with wtc and ctc
