Potato fruit
Another first this year, our potatoes are setting tomato like fruit! Have googled and definitely poisonous.
Been growing potatoes for 10 years or more, but this year has been strange.
More slugs than ever despite nematodes, pellets and beer traps, fruit rotting on the trees before ripening, and now deadly nightshade fruit!

I've had some varieties do this more than others - now I take the flowers off as they form as I have wee ones about!
It has been a weird year though! Very low pollination too for me. Hope things get back to normal next year!0
