Gas Supply Connection - Where to go?
I need a gas connection as I want to pull out all my economy 7 storage heaters and install gas central heating to my 2 bedroomed house. 6 rads/combi
All my neighbours have gas and the house on the estate. We had gas 20 years ago coming in on a lead pipe, not sure what they did to block it off. Called Transco and they quoted me about £900 quid as we are about 10 meters from the road down the drive.
What are my options?

If National Grid (not transco as the disappeared over 7 yrs ago) own the pipes in the road, take a look at
http://www.nationalgrid.com/uk/Gas/Connections/GasServices/comp+connection.htmI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0
