Advice on London Travel

I am hopefully travelling to the Closing Ceremony tomorrow and looking at booking my train tickets to Euston. Can anybody help if I would be best to buy a travelcard along with my train tickets for travel in London for the following circumstances:
We need to get to the Olympic Park from Euston for one adult and one child (aged 15) and I have a family and friends railcard. We will then need to get back to Euston the following morning from the Olympic Park (my OH has a rented apartment we will be staying in near the stadium).
If somebody could help me with what journey I should take and best option financially I would be very grateful as this is all very confusing for me:rotfl:.

If you have tickets to the ceremony, I thought that travel to the stadium was complimentary ?
There is a sub-board specifically for the Olympics where this may have already been discussed0 -
You need the javelin train from King's Cross (5 minutes walk from Euston) which takes 6 minutes to Stratford. Check the Olympics board above this one - there are many discussions of travel to the Olympic Park0
