Yes.
For my next attempt to purchase a property I believe I have to be more cautious as I was not expecting this problem. Is there any insurance to cover such losses?
Thanks!
No, you can't get insurance. It's all part of house buying and people do lose money. But, as this is (probably) the biggest purchase you'll ever make, then surveys etc. are a really good idea so you don't spend thousands on something you'll then need to spend several more thousands on because of problems that a survey would have picked up.
I known it doesn't seem fair, but homeowning is expensive, and if these costs are a surprise to you, I think you need to find out a bit more about what you're taking on in general. Which? have some excellent guides which might help, or google will give you more links.
Good luck! And all is not lost yet, this may yet go through. Again, I've seen this before, and often it looks as if all is lost, but then it comes around.0 -
Wyndham - nothing lost yet is true. Time will say.
Thank you for all your support. I will come back and let you know the progress of my purchase.0 -
