I had my ESA medical and was placed in the WRAG, last week I asked if DWP would reconsider their decision and put me in the support group, I did have the necessary things to be placed in the support group. I sent my letter next day delivery so they received it last Friday. I have not yet received a reply.
Today in the post was a DWP envelope so expected a decision, however I was really surprised to find 3 sheets of head paper marked HMRC saying it was my P45!!!
Can someone tell me why I have possibly recived this has I have a letter stating that I will be in recipt of contribution based ESA for 365 days.
This is total shock and confusion to me.
Does this mean that my ESA has been stopped?
Thanks for any replies

Does this make any sense to your situation?

Yes, am also in the WRAG group and have been sent an E45 - I haven't appealed! It seems odd as, in order to get my tax right for ESA, the DWP will need my E45! Such documents are only sent, as I'm sure you know, when you finally leave an employer!
As with most things with the DWP, it's most confusing.
PS ... The link above says that income-related ESA isn't taxable!?? Is this true anyone? It would seem unlikely, as I have another letter stating that the Inland Revenue are to be informed of my ESA award.
ESA is taxable:

Have you transferred from IB? If so, you have received the P45 because you no longer get that benefit.0

YES, I was migrated from IB this month. The P45 states the total of this tax year's IB.0

As you are in the WRAG you ESA(CB) will be limited to one year.0 -
Does it tell you on the ESA award if it is income related WRAG? If yes and it was just a straight forward move from IB income to ESA income, then I think no tax due, but you need to find out and perhaps only DWP can tell you for definite. Their letters are not the clearest.0
