Orange and Lloyds

I mentioned this some time ago, and seem to be getting no further with Orange as a result of this; Lloyds have been perfectly co-operative with this one.
There are some disputes regarding payments made to Orange on account, with DD's being taken from Lloyds and a £300 payment shown as bouncing from Natwest that was made on a card (when the NW account in question had almost £6k avail. bal.)
Orange have now produced a bill for over £400, stating that payments have been 're-allocated to where they should have been'. DD's for the same amount have gone from Lloyds/NW (now closed), the total dispute being for a further £150.
Orange have backtracked on their story regarding both the £144 and £300, and I have been paying the bills since last October (!), with no mention of a balance being brought forward in anything. I was made aware that I have always been in credit (with the exception of a payment made 2 days late as they failed to collect the DD) until speaking to a manager this afternoon to find out what's going on.
Can anyone give any further advice on this one? I really have little patience now regarding the entire farce. All I know is that my money seems to have disappeared somewhere, and where it has gone, nobody knows. I'm currently left with £400 of bills that I do have the money to pay, but am refusing to pay twice.
