just wondering if its a good budget led light

    In a word, no

Depends what you want to use them for, but for room lighting as a direct replacement for a 50W halogen lamp you are likely to be disappointed, mainly with the brightness but also with the colour and beam angle, and quite possibly the lifespan.
Not to unfairly criticise these lamps any similar cluster LED type will be equally as poor.

A 50w halogen lamp is about 800 lumens.
    A 40W old-style light bulb is about 400 lumens.
Those LED things claim to be 270 lumens.

    They are still pants !

For a few quid more get a decent branded one such as Megaman - Philips etc. Have a look here.

Cluster LED lamps are notoriously rubbish.

Another alternative is to get compact fluorescent GU10's in stead.

One thing to bear in mind when geting either lamp is the colour, warm white will give a softish yellow glow similar to that of an old light bulb, cool white and its a crisper white light that is given off.

I've found these work quite well in my kitchen, having compared to cheapy Ebay specials and Megaman flourescent which had a blueish tint to them.

Have bought nextgen ones (google it). Impressive lighting in our bathroom. 5 of these have illuminated a 3m x 2.5m room very well.

    Went for te warm colour.

As was mentioned above, don't compare by wattage, but instead by lumens - this is the measure of brightness of the light - regardless of the power used. If you go from using a light source that is 650 lu per bulb to 230 lu per bulb, you'll need to get three times as many to be close to the brightness of the light you previously had.
