Sorry but does anyone know the answer so I dont have to sit down and work it out?

Im interested in how much profit you get in sell items for approx £25, £50, £100, £200.

What ballpark figures are in your pocket on each sale after listing fees, sales fees and paypal?

It costs me 30p to list because I host my own pics.

have a look at ezay tools - they have an amazon and an ebay calculator, the ebay one takes your paypal fees into account too (goofbay doesn't I don't think)

"Profit" depends largely on what you paid for an item as well as listing fees and overheads (packaging etc.,.).

There are Ebay calculators out there if you want to experiment.

I jsut mean what percentage is lost to paypal and ebay.

People keep moaning about fees but id imagine from £50, paypal and ebay probably only take approx £5/6 and and from £100 probably only about £8/9.

So if that was the case its hardly a lot of money right?

I don't do figures, or as it's popularly known today number crunching, but as a rough guide I allow 10%.

Excluding listing fees you will pay:-

No Fee
£0.01 - £29.99
5.25% for the amount of the high bid (at the listing close for auction-style listings) up to £29.99
£30.00 - £599.99
5.25% of the initial £29.99 (£1.57), plus 3.25% of the remaining closing value balance
Over £600.00
5.25%of the initial £29.99 (£1.57), plus 3.25% of the initial £30.00 - £599.99 (£18.53), plus 1.75% of the remaining closing value balance


PayPal fees:- 3.4% + 20p

Obviously the cheaper the item the higher the proportion listing fees will take up.

Now you can work them out yourself...I'm feeling too lazy too....;)

I think thats pretty decent to be honest!! Especially on dearer items! Your only losing approx £15 when selling something for £220!!

Luckily my items always sell, and I host my own pics to my listings are pretty cheap.
