HELP! Netbook chargers keep blowing up!

My wife and I each have a netbook (mine is an Acer Aspire One, hers is an MSI Wind U135).
A few weeks ago my wife noticed that the battery wasn't charging up when connected to the mains so I went onto Amazon and ordered a replacement battery. Her original battery was 2200 mAh, whilst the new one was 4400 mAh.
I thought this would be fine, but just to be sure I ordered a new charger from Amazon as well, in case the charger was causing the battery not to charge up.
The new charger arrived and had only been in use for a couple of when it went BANG and there was a smell of smoke from the charger.
I got in touch with the Amazon vendor and they agreed to issue a replacement charger as obviously the one they had sent me was faulty.
When the replacement charger I arrived I duly plugged the laptop in and guess what? It blew up immediately it touched the mains!
The upshot of all is that we have ordered two sets of chargers (one each for me and my wife) and all of them have now blown up at some point in their use.
I still have the original battery in my netbook so I am guessing it is the chargers which are at fault.
Before i order more chargers from Amazon (from a different vendor) can anyone advised on the correct Voltage/Ampage I should be ordering to ensure nothing else explodes!??
My Acer Aspire has an 11.1v, 2.12Ah battery, we don't know the specifications of my wife's netbook as we threw out the battery when the new one arrived...

all the details should be on a sticker which is on your old charger. Do not go on the battery voltage as this is different to the charger. Also battery is rated in amps per hour and charger in amps - while similar, but at are very different. As long as the charger is rated the same or more Amps, it should not blow. They must however be the exact same voltage output.
Bet the supplier got some very cheap chargers from china that were not up to spec. I've also had some cheap ones too - that have fried themselves.
Just keep on the guys back as others will also be complaining and if he does not do right he will loose his Amazon account.0 -
my brother bought his cheap charger from Ebay, just plug and go as he said.
cant remember which seller though but he did pay around £6 for it.
so far his had it over a year.
When looking on ebay use the ACER model number, then look for the same voltage noted on the base of the netbooks/laptops on the sticker
question, did it blow before connecting to the netbook as it your plug it into the main and bang. or was it connected first to the laptop then the mains and it went bang?
first one, definitely something wrong with the chrager, if it was the other, polarity settings wrong way round maybe, if theres a polarity setting.0
