I'm in construction and use Direct Line. By far the cheapest.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

If you're a general handyman, you need to ensure you select General Handyman and not Builder as most Insurer rate them differently and apply different exclusions etc.

If you do find and Insurer such as DL who do not show Handyman then you need to ring them to check if they rate you as a builder. If you do this it's very important that you make a note of the persons name, the date and time

If you go with DL you need to ring and check they will accept you as they do not list handyman as a trade they cover.

I would call them as mentioned before as their title building maintenance may not be for General Handymen who tend to turn their hand at anything often high risk things such as plumbing.

I've seen quite a few Handymen fall foul of Public Liability by taking the wrong trade and the Insurer later disagreeing that the trade selected does not cover general handyman

letmeinplz is a spambot who goes around repeating posts. Sometimes they make sense sometimes they don't.
