HELP! Travel insurance.

Please, is there anyone out there who knows the in's and out's of travel insurance who can advise???

I am having my two weeks holiday from work in a couple of weeks time. We plan to visit my parents for a week as my father is dying with liver cancer. We also want to spend a short time with wife's family in Holland. But it does sound like my dad is now quite poorly and could go at anytime. We do need to book flights now. (Easyjet)
Would a travel insurance pay back the cost of flights if my dad then dies next week and we find we can't go?????
We may also have to put deposit on a BandB. Would this be covered???
Any help would be much appreciated.

Phil

There is little hope for them paying out unless the booking was made prior to being aware of his condition.

I hope the end is peaceful.

No insurer will cover this, but look for accommodation which won't charge if you cancel prior to the day of arrival

Thanks! I had been coming around to the conclusion that as it was already known he was poorly no insurance will cover.
Now just need to find out if my wife is prepared to risk it as she (and my son) are very excited about going to Holland!
Hopefully my dad will last a little longer. He has just had a blood transfusion and gone onto oxygen and appears to have a little more energy again. I think he is pain free, too, which is a blessing!
