I know I am a business...but....

1.03am message from ebay 'I need this item urgently , if I buy now and pay first thing can you send it to arrive for Monday?'
1.35am ' did you get my last message? I need the item urgently can you send it immediately?'
3.02am 'oh well, don't bother I'll buy it somewhere else'.

this item is nothing exciting at all, a run of the mill BIN which I have had up for months now and sell a few every week. Postage offered is 2nd class standard or 1st class for the uplift costs.

Buyer now blocked- just in case.

Odd thing is that things bought by a different buyer at 7am this morning have already been wrapped and are going to the post office at about 9am after breakfast.

Is it an American eBayer, by chance?

I once received a succession of similar 'nocturnal' messages overnight and it turned out to be a US buyer, who apparently had absolutely no idea (and absolutely no interest) in time zones.

Don't get me started on US buyers who think a pound is the same as a Dollar and expect a next day tracked service for nothing!

Just checked, and no he/she was a Brit. Yes I'm a business but I can't imagine even M and S responding to an email at 1am in the morning!

Maybe they thought you could teleport it. :rotfl:

I had one like that once. A buyer from America who bought and paid for my item and an hour later sent an angry email saying "where's my item? " I posted it next day and four weeks later it was returned as 'delivery attempted and not collected'.

Most buyers are great but there are a few real muppets out there. It was a good idea to block that one Soolin bet they would have been trouble.

Dammit Soo why don't you keep your phone by your bed to answer such queries? Do you not know how important it is?

I would've sent him a snotty message back, explaining that you have a life outside of Ebay and at the time he sent the message you are usually asleep!
