Updating balcony - costs?

Hello there!
I live in a 60's block of flats and each flat as a balcony to the rear. It's quite a big space but not sure what I can do with it or the costs it would incur

other flats have enclosed it but d/s is the son of a building contractor and u/s did it twenty years ago when they bought it. Can anyone give an idea as to cost of doing the below please?

i have no idea of the cost but wouldnt have thought it would be that much, maybe a couple of thousand.
I would think though that you would need planning permission as potentially you could be breaching it as it may be a possible fire escape - not that I know much about this either to be honest0 -
Thanks! A few thousand I can save up. I don't think fire escape will be a problem as I'm looking at sliding windows so someone could get out (my flat doesn't have a fire escape anyway)
I really like what downstairs did but think it might be out of my reachEmergency savings: 4600

You need written permission of the leaseholder to make a change to the structure of the flat/ building; since others have been done they should not unreasonably withhold it.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

The D/S one is just a door and a couple of UPVC window panels, get a couple of trusted local conservatory companies in to give you a quote.0
