Confession?!
Don't worry about it... it's done. You caught up with your friends and I'm sure you've resolved to think of something more MSE to do for entertainment next time friends are knocking!
Anyway, two months of what you save from your phone bill and the socialising with friends is covered.MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -

MRN, the meet with friends was worth it as they(friends whom we met) are moving to Australia so won't be seeing them for a long time.
Both of us bought our lunch today as couldn't be bothered to cook last night purely due to lazyness so another £11 spent
On a positive note, I phoned our energy provider today and switched to a fixed deal till Nov 2013 and that too with a reduction in the monthly direct debit of £5 :j

Glad you had a nice time. We also waved goodbye to friends earlier this year who were moving to Oz. However, as they started to get upset I told them not to. OH's parents and some family live in Oz so they'll still see us regularly!
Good news about the energy bills.MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
I phoned Scottish power again couple of days ago as Martin's weekly mail mentioned that they had extended the fixed deal end date to December instead of October. The advisor I spoke to was happy to change the deal for me. So that should be reflected on my online account soon otherwise I will have to phone them again.
DH also phoned Virgin today and by paying £120 in advance(with 0% credit card), we have got £3.90 monthly discount over twelve months. So phone line and broadband should cost us only £6.50 per month (plus £120 advance payment). Just have to cancel Vonage on Monday and we should be sorted.

Reviving my diary after more than year as hadn't done anything on this during this time but feeling a bit motivated again to start all over again.
After the fertility problems that we had last year, I immediately got pregnant and hence everything else took a backseat. But we lost our precious baby few days after he was born. Since then, both of us have been grieving. I don't think life will ever be same again but for the sake of both of us, I need to get back on track as this move to London is very much required now for us to get away from all the bad memories and just remember all the good ones.
I need to look at the balances again as we had to go private for baby's medical care and hence the finances are not as good as they were before as had to use some of our savings. I will be looking at online statements etc. in the next few days and post balances etc.

I had a look at our current accounts today. We have £672.18 there. In addition, I also looked at few more accounts to check the balances. I couldn't check all accounts as we have forgotten the passwords for some of them. Will get the passwords reset and then add them to my diary but here are the ones that I managed to get into
DH's credit card: - £1154.51 debit. The 0% interest rate on this finishes sometime this year so will clear this as priority
DH's ISA: - £11524.17 credit. The rate has been lowered since August i think so need to move this as a priority
My 5 year bond at 4.4% until April 2016: - £5346.20 credit
My 5 year cash ISA at 5% until July 2014: - £8779.28 credit
My 1 year bond at 2.75% that is maturing on 13th Oct 2013: - £3154.54. Credit. I need to send a letter to close the account and withdraw the full balance for this one which I will do tomorrow
In addition, there are two regular savers, two 5 year bonds and one cash ISA for which i need to contact the banks for balance enquiry as have lost online access. I should also have few hundred pounds as cash in the house which we are using for day today spending. I will count that all and mention that in the diary.
The mortgage as of today stands at £58,178.26 debit at 1.29%

I just counted all the bank notes in the house and it's come to £735. That should be sufficient for grocery shopping etc. for couple of months. Now I am trying to find all loose coins to count which I will either take to the bank to deposit or will use them for supermarket shopping.0

I just counted all the change in the house and it's come to £37.72. I also found a fiver so total cash in bank notes in the house is £740 now.0
