I've been to oludeniz before but many years ago, anyone been there recently and is it still under developed, or is there some ugly big hotels and too many holidaymakers now? Can you still get cheap rooms there?

Are there any other places similar to Oludeniz? relatively quiet with beach front restaurants white sand, blue water, but a decent catering of small guest houses where you can find a room within walking distance of the beach.

Not interested in built up resorts...

thanks

things have changed a lot since I last spent a lot of time in the resorts in Turkey - maybe this might help you find somewhere to your taste -

Ortakent is the only one of those that I know personally, its lovely, and easily accessible from any of the Bodrum area resorts.

Cirali gets rave reviews from seasoned Turkey away-from-the-neon travellers, as do the Kas and Datca areas.

Very built up to what it was around 7 or 8 years ago, I do think there is some bye law that prevents building tall buildings

Hisaronou is much the same, we are going shortly stay in a small family run hotel every year

    Ovacik very built up
  • Turunc? Nowhere I know in Turkey has that really nice white sands
