Would be covered under Discussion Time.
Can't honestly see any justification for having a separate politics board above and beyond that on a forum whose focus is moneysaving? Just my opinion though.....Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

>> fermi,
Thanks for the prompt reply but,,,,,, but , but ,but the boards you mention are not listed in the main forum menu.
How can you expect visitors to know of these boards if you hide them under a bushel?

Yes they are. I've been posting on the Discussion Time most of this evening. Look carefully right to the very bottom. Discussion Time is a sub of the Moneysaving Arms board.
EDIT - while the Debate, House Prices & The Economy is in the first section of the index, Pure Money.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

Please keep up to speed, How can you expect ANYONE to know of these boards unless they are signed in? This is complete news to me, why does MSE have this crazy policy?
Pss..... are there any other secret boards I should be aware of? Is there a secret society on this site, you know, funny handshaskes whilst standing on one leg etc?;)

Ah I see what you mean now. Your post mentioned "visitors", which all users are of course, whether signed in or not. Yes you have to be signed in because these boards tend to be... heated, to put it mildly and might scare off potential users. At least I think that is the reason.
Anyway, why would an unsigned visitor to a moneysaving site need to see a politics related board?Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

You mean because you think it's natural that someone who wants to save money will be immediately interested in a political discussion, instead of the other boards that are more germane to money savings. Yes, in that case words may well fail you.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
