after reading all these messages about paidoffers, i am glad that i never bothered. I was very suspicious about a similar site called offerscash.co.uk who also have a facebook page and the same happened to me, i was banned from posting for making comments bthat they didnt like and my messages were also deleted .maybe offerscash and paidoffers are the same company. Looks like this paidoffers is also not to be trusted. Thanks everyone, you have save d me a lot of time investigating these scam sites. However if anyone comers across any 100 percent legit sites then give me a shout as im skint. I need to make money online.
Cheers0 -
Doesn't sound that reliable0

I have been a member for almosy 2 years spent over 900 pounds in joining up to offers and guess what my freinds not 1p paid they claim that only 200 pounds has been valided out of 3886 and requested i sent all proofs of membe ship to them and proofs of payments so i did 4 times and oh guess what they signed for it and oh lost it , i think trading standards need as many complaints as possible as this company is defrauding its members by falsly misleading them in to paying and joining things yet there claim you get paid is INCORRECT they are charging us for no service as described ,help me in complaining so this firm will be either shut down or told to rectify its practisesThis site asks you to fill out 26 offers.
You cannot complete all 26 offers without laying out some expense
to your self, so steer well clear, It seems to me that its all about getting your private details.0 -

I joined it and so far have got to offer 9 however i have noticed several of the offers havent validated yet, i did email support as i have kept evidence of every offer i have completed and i asked support what happen if an offer doesnt credit? do you simply keep trying until you have successfully completed 26 offers? or does one not validating mean that invalidates all the others and you dont get paid for any?
I have not yet had a response, so for a new site that is trying to get new clients their customer services is non existent and if they cant reply to a simple query, i would think this is the way they dont pay people by 'not validating' a few offers so it is impossible to get paid and not replying to emails to resolve.0 -

I am curious as to just how much spam you people have received since being deceived by paidoffers.co.uk? My wife is still receiving spam that traces back to Submission Technology, the owners of paidoffers.co.uk and other dubious websites, well over a year since I reported several of their sites and the cheap tricks they use. You click unsubscribe on the email and that only unsubscribes you from that particular website but leaves you on every other website they own/create.
Paul Varjak and myself both reported about this company on these very forums but wel over a year after we made the posts the company threatened legal action and this forum removed the thread. Luckily for us I saved the thread so you can read it all at carbonize.co.uk/ptc.html
I like how despite the fact the thread above was long the forum is now saying I only have five posts due to the thread being deleted0 -
I got the welcome email from this company with a secondary offer from https://www.producttesting.co.uk to sign up as a tester for Dyson and Apple's iPad. What a joke. These companies give marketing a bad name. Don't bother signing up - there are no products to actually review let alone get a chance to get one. Its all passing off sponsorship companies marketing to get buyers/the general public to buy into a service.
They can remove my comments if they wish off their Facebook account but then there's twitter also!0 -
Read this report about Submission Technology and Paul Knapp...
http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Paul-Knapp/internet/Paul-Knapp-Submission-Technology-Paul-Knapp-said-I-should-Do-Away-with-Myself-Internet-10440510 -
Given my one and only contact with Paul Knapp I can quite believe what you say. I did read somewhere else that he is ex-military. He said to me over the phone: "You should do away with yourself or something". That was because I reported a charity site he set up to the three charities he claimed to be raising money for. The charities managed to get the site closed down.
As a result of what Knapp said to me, I closed by Greasy Palm account and will have nothing more to do with the company. At least I no longer get emails from them whatsoever - they were actually very quick in getting emails stopped.
There is nothing (yet) at Companies House to suggest that Paul Knapp has left the company and he has not started any new company either. There could well be some sort of tribunal of course and, if there is, it could be some time before we know if Knapp has really got the boot.
Can I suggest that you report Submission Technology to the Advertising Standards Authority? The ASA look at all complaints confidentially and will respond to your directly.
The wonderful thing about the ASA is that any advertiser has to prove their claims are true. The complainant does not have to prove the advertisers claims are false.
A few years ago Greasy Palm was mentioned a lot on MSE as it was the cashback king at the time. Then any mention of Greasy Palm stopped and posts about them were deleted. It must have hurt their income quite a bit, not to be featured on MSE any more.
I note that last year, Submission Technology filed for voluntary strike off from Companies House; presumably because of financial problems. Knapp and Durant set up a new company, which has since been dissolved and Submission Technology continues.0 -
Yes I believe I may well have been sat in the room for that phone call! Was it for the website formerly known as pie-report?
In fairness to my former employer that was a genuine mistake. He didn't know that you have to pay some money (quite a lot in all honesty) to use Charities names to raise money for them but I think a the end of the day the charities would have been ok with him raising money if it hadn't been off the back of "obtaining" and selling peoples data. It was a genuine site though, I think in the short time it was up he did earn and actually send them a few thousands. It was basically set up as a name saver for greasypalm "Look sub techs not so bad, see what we're doing for charity" you know.
I believe the ASA have already concluded on Paid Offers and have said that it is against best practises or whatever it is. It should be there on their list of advertisers to watch out for. One of the things they asked for was proof that we had actually paid someone out, I believe Sub Tech basically forged some pay slips but ASA saw through it.
Greasy Palm got hit really hard but quidco's innovation and willingness to move with the time. All Sub Techs sites are based around the quick, fast buck model and if a site needs work it usually gets put on the back burner in favour of setting something else like paidoffers up.
In my last few months there I did fight tooth n nail to try and get some legitimate sites set up though and after much moaning and groaning we finally got swiftprizes.co.uk. I would still be wary as Carley is in charge of it but when I left it was supposed to be the first legitimate site we'd done in years (you'll still have you details sold on to third parties though) and it is a complete rip off of TopFox which would be my choice if you're going for any of these sites.
And the Voluntary strike off was an accountants mistake lol, it made it extremely difficult to set new clients up for about a month.0
