One Stop Perry Barr "Fine" - Advice

Hi everyone, new to this and need some advice!
i picked up my girlfriend from the one stop shopping centre, pulling up next to 3 or 4 taxis that were waiting on a yellow hatched area. i then turned and stopped next to a kerb which had a double yellow line on the road. i was there for all of 15 minutes whilst waiting for my girlfriend. At no point did i exit my car, the engine was running all the time etc.
Another thing, they sent the letter stating that i have 14 days from the issue of the notice to pay. The letter got to me 3 days after the date of issue, meaning today it has gone up to £90! From reading i know a couple of other posters have had issues with Care Parking at one stop, i sent them a strongly worded and if not a little sarcastic email as i couldnt speak to any human being apart from a girl who wanted to take the money out of my account...
Cheers.

Care parking only care about taking money as you discovered, they are a private parking company who should be ignored, your appeal/email will be refused don't communicate further as its pointless. Just keep your money and don't fall for this scam.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
We have so much info on here on this forum to help newbies understand and be ready for the letters.
See my signature if you aren't used to forums - just one click from here & you see all current threads here, most of which are about the 'fake PCN' scam'.
Second from the top, click on 'PPC letters & threats'.
1. Watch the Watchdog clip on there, and then
2. scroll down to the pics of your fave PPC's threatograms, then
3. Play a nice game of snap with each matching templated threatogram, then
4. If you like legal stuff and want to understand why PPCs are very unlikely to win any small claim now (UKPC have never done Court anyway except when they were taken there by Trading Standards!) read the links on this CAG thread.
5. Tell your friends & family, colleagues, strangers, everyone! about the fake PCN scam so they never pay one.
No private parking company (PPC) can actually issue a real fine or penalty on private land, retail car parks etc. Nor can they affect your credit rating nor send a bailiff round without the small matter of winning a Small Claim in Court first! And that won't happen.
The most that will happen is even more junk mail letters that you can ignore, over the coming months. The registered keeper gets the letters, so if that's not you then educate them about this well-known scam and show them the links & info we are giving you here.
Please read the current forum and also show your husband so he sees it's a scam.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Due to the nature of this board, people sometimes post incorrect information.
I have no problem with anyone being wrong. However, I do have a problem with anyone deliberately misinforming people for unlawful financial gain.
I believe that “ArnoldPringle” has a connection with the private parking industry. If so, then it is possible that any comments they make may have a hidden agenda.
The usual culprit is Michael Perkins, the owner of Combined Parking Solutions (CPS).
Posting for financial gain is against the rules of the MSE forums.
Posting on internet forums using aliases is against the British Parking Association (BPA)’s own guidelines ...

Your best course of action is to settle this debt at the earliest opportunity.
Not paying would be a foolish thing to do.
Their is no debt, the charge is invalid, i would strongly suggest that you read up on a few things first, before spreading the male bovine faecal matter.
So what next? as the charges are invalid you can tell them that there is no debt, and you will not be entering into any further communication on this, you should also copy the Aldi store in question into this.
to cut a few things out, in short:
tell the private parking company that you will not be paying their un enforceable charge, also tell Aldi this, and that you do not wish to receive any further communication on this subject.
When the next letter arrives you then need to tell both Aldi and the parking company about your previous letter, and if they continue with their un enforceable demands, then you will consider a claim against both parties for harrasment, the private parking company itslef, and Aldi as they are jointly liable for the actions of their agents. From the Plain Language Commission:
