Presumably your higher excess is reflected in your premium.

    A £50 excess isn't unusual.

Quite possibly, Though i must confess, Due to family issues this year i opened the envelope checked cover would continue and didnt check the price.

oops. Will i get banned on here now? :)

On a + note i just saved £30 on my RAC cover. :)

Every year they add £30, I phone and they drop it off again.

Not banned but told to shop around next year. :D

Everyone has the odd year when real life gets in the way. Couple of years ago our home and car insurance came up right around our wedding/honeymoon so they were just renewed.

Lets just hope there's no "accident" whilst the switch is getting carried out!

When claiming for a tv last year, one of the first questions asked was if it was being 'carried' anywhere

This sounds like "wear and tear", i.e. the TV came to the end of its natural life and died. House insurance doesn't cover this, extended warranties do. If your child hit it and then it broke then you have a valid claim as this is accidental damage.

Large flat screen TVs set off all kinds of alarm bells at insurers, they will probably want a TV repair guy to say "the kid hit it and it broke" before paying out. If your child didn't break it then you are on a hiding to nothing I'm afraid.

Hmmm, an exact repeat of something posted by another user, sounds very much to me like you are building up to offering us some :spam:
