How do claim PPI from a building Soc no longer around ?

Hello everyone.

Help ! Remember the Leeds Building Society. A long time gone. I took out a loan with them many moons ago which I do remember paying PPI. How do I get that money back from them? Or is a non goer?

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance
CA

Thanks I followed your link but it is not the one. However I found it through branch and date search. Then found a webite that listed building societies that got taken over or merged etc.

So if anyone wants to find a long lost building society go to
the wesite called buidingsociety.com and click on the link 'past building societies'

Leeds Permanent Building Society merged in 1995 with Halifax Building Society. It was the Leeds 'Permanent' ! Oh jeeze it was a long time ago !

    So now a step closer.

    cheers

Did you manage to get any further with this? I was digging through old doc and found the Leeds Permanent mortgage we had, which was then superseded by a Cheltenham and Gloucester one. I think they are all part of the Lloyd's group????
