What are your reasons for complaint?
What evidence do you have to support your complaint?

There is nothing wrong with having PPI and unless you tell us what you think they did wrong, then we cannot comment on whether it is worth taking it further or not.

Then you are doomed to failure.

PPI is not the issue. The issue is being mis-sold it. You have to have reasons why the PPI was mis-sold, and these reasons must match the evidence. If it wasn't mis-sold and/or there's no evidence that it was then you don't get money back.

As it is, that is all moot because Santander have an application form with your signature on it asking to take out PPI. As it was done with a paper application form, you were not sold it, you bought it. Therefore it cannot have been mis-sold. Game over.

    Frankly your reasoning is pathetic.

It's interesting. We received an offer letter today for a Burton Card dating back to '05. They enclosed the signed credit agreement signed by my partner who opened the account at the time with ppi selected (he didn't remember that aspect of it, just remembered that it was all a v. quick instore sign up, prob promoted to him with an instant discount on his purchase or sth).

In their letter Santander say that despite him having signed the agreement - 'in light of the comments set out in your letter, I have arranged for all premiums to be refunded back to you'.

An amount of between £400-500 was offered.
