Single oven: Recommendations & 13A plug/hardwired?

We currently have a crappy Baumatic electric single oven (60x60x60cm ish), plugged in via normal 3 pin 13amp plug. The grill has died. It may just need a new element (~£50), not sure, but its a bit naff: seals are going, slow to heat up and inconsistent temp throughout. Also, when cooling down, the thermostat that clicks the fan in and out, causes a terrible burst of noise through my Hi-Fi in room next door! (on many brands of amps & items of kit).
So, looking at replacements:-
Some are 13amp plugs, some hardwired. Obviously the latter ones draw more power - what advantage does this give? Up to temp quicker?
If I wanted a hard wired one, I presume that'll need a sparky laying 30A wire from fuse box to kitchen. A pain, due to kitchen cabinets/tiles in place, thus unsightly plastic conduit coming down from ceiling. How much can I expect this to cost (London prices)?
Fancied a basic Bosch/AEG one for quality, but they seem to be all hard wired. Any recommendation on a decent quality/reliable 13amp plug one, for £300-400? Preferably in stainless/brushed steel finish.

if you want a 13 A one just to replace existing, then you need t find one that's around 3kW. look for the wattage... and buy the best you can afford
This will be much cheaper than getting a new circuit0 -

That's pretty much the plan I've settled on. It's not easy, few sites say whether it has a 13amp plug or even sensible wattage figures.
Seen a few Indesit ones going cheap which fit the bill. No idea if they're any good. Do appear to be rather cheap and cheerful, just supplied with one shelf and no grill pan!0 -
Yep, you answered your own question, it will be a higher wattage so will cook/heat more quickly and possibly better, depending on your cooking habits.
You seem to understand the electrical safety issues so :T:T
Also check out the disposal outlets for a bargain, there's one in over local town and is run by Currys. It's where all the end or line, and scratch and dent stuff goes.
Damage, if scatch/dent is usually being confined to sides which with fitted ovens isn't an issue, and they still maintain the warranty.
Electrical Clearance Store is the trading name or the 1 I was thinking ofI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
