You can't guarantee a UK call centre unless you're HSBC Premier (or, I think, Advance).

With a HSBC Advanced account you're guaranteed a UK call centre. Normally if you call between 9am - 5pm you'll get a UK call centre I find, although depending on your work hours this may be slightly inconvenient.

Unless you've got a premier or a First Direct account, you wont always get a UK call centre.

You can not guarantee it, as posters above have said.

There are more call centres offshore for them then in the UK. I used to work for them and the majority of customers got through to offshore as the UK team is specialized in such things as Premier.

If you select the option for complaint then you will get through to UK based, and sometimes, depending on who you get they will do you banking for you but sometimes they transfer you.
