Free bus bas? Had no idea!

DLA is for everyone disabled even those who work, its not means tested. Its meant to ensure the disabled person has extra money to do things able bodied people can without using their normal money. Lots of disabled people work and if you claim Tax credits the amount your amount will go up if you get DLA as there is a disabled persons premium added - only if the disabled person is claiming.

So before they change to PIP I would put in a claim for DLA as they plan to cut the amount of people on PIP by 20% compared to who can get DLA now so best to try now for it.

Even our PM got it wrong when he said how DLA is means tested and paid to those who don't work, when its neither its paid to anyone who needs it - well should be its not that easy to get like any benefit but do claim it all they can say is no.
