Tomato plants dying!!! Help!

My bush tomato plants were doing quite well, I have about 9 of them some in the garden and 2 in a grow bag. The ones in the grow bag have quite a few green fruits on them but now the leaves are dying, going dark green and crispy.

Any advice? I can get a photo if it helps.

Could be blight - a photo would help a lot.

They need lots of water Lisa and may be you should feed them too.

If you water them really well they may perk up.

We have had weather all over the place so may have played a bit too cautious as had a few very heavy rain showers but water every evening on dry days, how much should they have? x

Are there black spots on the stem? It looks like it in the picture? Mine looked a wee bit like that at first, but then unfortunately full scale blight-had to bin the lot today. Gutted is not the word :(

There are lumps and bumps on the stems :-(

Anything I can do with green tomatos? will they ripen off the plant?

Not sure about lumps and bumps, mine just looked like patches of the stem were black like this or this

I hope I am wrong. Remove affected leaves (and stems) though

When I had to pick mine green because the plant had blight I wrapped them individually in newspaper and put them in a drawer...after quite some time (at least a month, if not more) they were ripe! I just kept checking them. Some had been affected by the blight and turned a brownish colour but the others were fine.

Do a google search for green Tomato chutney theres loads of different ones out there. I tried a few last year and the recipes are easy to follow, you can also do the same for runner beans
