Using exceed to open new UNIX terminal windows

Hi, you have managed to solve quite a few problems for me so quickly, wondering if anyone knows how to do this.
I need to remotely access a UNIX system, and need to allow new terminal windows to open. I've been told exceed is the tool for this.
I can log on using either putty or an SSH Client, no issues. I have installed Exceed.
What UNIX command do I use to open programs in new windows? Or do I need to set up Exceed to do this??
I have tried googling and read the Exceed documents, but I'm getting nowhere fast...
Any help / pointers much appreciated!

If you only need a terminal window - why Exceed? As far as I remember, Exceed is a tool used to integrate X-Windows & Windows desktops together. Why can't you just open multiple SSH connections?
In any case, take a look here, might help

Cheers - exactly what I wanted up & running now!
I need a program that doesn't run in a terminal (femlab), sorry I wasn't very clear..0
