New Auction site!!

Found an ebay equivilant!! Might be a good place to do some bargain buying as it's not as renowned as Ebay!
Spread the word!

http://uk.ebid.tv

They do 1 hour auctions, 4 hour auctions that all start at £1 and its FREE to list !!!!!
They even do a listing that won't 'start the clock' on the timer of your listing until there is at least 1 bid on it!!

i've used this a few times out of interest , although i'm not too keen.
Communication with each seller i dealt with was non-existent, they didnt leave me feedback and i didnt leave it for them, as i suspect neither of us could figure out how the hell to do it.

However the pppay.com thing was very secure as you needed to verify an amount debited so it felt safe at least.

I've noticed too that its absolutely innundated with pirated dvds, mp3 cds and software, all the bootleggers are getting their wares out quick lol

lets face it, it'd be tough to beat ebay even with all its faults, although at least someones trying!

Ditto... and add to that list it's awash with fake LV, Gucci and Hermes to the point of bursting!!! Not a site for sellers with quality goods to sell. :(
    The MSE Dictionary
Loophole - A word used to entice people to read clearly written Terms and Conditions.
Rip Off - Clearly written Terms and Conditions.
Terms and Conditions - Otherwise known as a loophole or a rip off.
  • Awash with fake goods - like ebay is!! The first purchase i made on ebay was from bag seller for a genuine burberry bag - genuinely fake that was!! Stung 1st time but i was not dettered and it improved.
I think Ebid will get better the more other people use it and it is so much cheaper to list. I got a 7 day pass for 99p and in the next 7 days i can sell as much as i want with no final value fees and if it doesn;t sell it will auto relist for as many times i choose!
Also PPPay does not take as much money as paypal for transactions.
It has my vote - ebay is such a rip off nowadays buy the time you take off listing fees, final value value fees and paypal fees, unless your selling stuff 'big bucks' then it is hardly worth the effort. Nearly ended up going back down the carboot!!
No doubt Ebid will go the same way eventually but it is good to know that until then, there really are other options.
