Honeymoon 2013

Hi we are getting married next year (a year tomorrow in fact :T) and we're just starting to think about our honeymoon. We are not going to be particularly flush as we are paying for the wedding ourselves.
Basically we are hoping to have a holiday abroad (something we haven't managed to do together yet!) preferably for 10 nights and we have about £1000 to spend including flights (although we could probably spend a bit more at a push if it was the right place. A wild nightlife isn't important, being somewhere that hasn't been completely anglicised is, restaurants and a couple of tavernas would be nice. And then here's the catch- OH works in a school so we really need to go in August. Is it impossible?
I'd really love for any help that is going spare.

I've got a holiday through Easyjet this year for £763 for a family of 4. Bog standard self catering last week in August. It's worth having a look.0
