Just rec'd a reply about the 90,000 /49 court cases.
Dear Mr Peter_the_piper
Blah Blah
However I see in the attachment that according to a FOI the number was 49 not 90,000. Accordingly I have written to the minister to seek his comments on this point. When I receive his reply etc.
Not a complete whitewash, in fact could be promising. I hope other MP's do the same.

I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

And the Minister will raise it with the DVLA, who will say that it was only an estimate given at short notice by the BPA, and in any case it had no effect on the decision to introduce keeper liability.
They lie, then they lie about the lying.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
Too true, but if there are enough complaining then maybe they will do something. You can't just sit back and say "its not worth complaining as they won't do anything" maybe one or two will not like being lied to.
ps. I wonder how long this post will last?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

I'm intrigued - what is there in this thread that could be the slight bit contentious ?All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -
You could have said that about a lot of the other threads.Je Suis Cecil.0

I've said the bpa gave misinformation, that's heresy, worse than some others which have disappeared.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

But I have a paper trail which proves this statement to be 100% correct. Not even the slippery eels at the BPA can wriggle out of that one, and if anyone from MSE's forum team thinks otherwise, it's time they got another job.peter_the_piper wrote: »I've said the bpa gave misinformation, that's heresy, worse than some others which have disappeared.

Do you mean the thread that used a verb that's an anagram of 'sile' in the same sentence as the BPA, was removed? I didn't know that.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And do you mean the thread that used the epithet 'running dog' in the same sentence as the BPA was removed? I didn't know that either.peter_the_piper wrote: »I wonder how long this post will last?0
