I agree with most of the above.
I think a two week wait is long enough although I have sometimes waited longer (40 days from the Far East is my cut off) - however, the moment a seller mentioned the 15 days for an RM claim of not giving me back the full amount I would go to a claim immediately. I don't have time to waste on a seller that doesn't understand their responsibilities.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi Triangle - glad you have got this sorted amicably. It's rare that a seller even listens, but that is a good sign.

Hi again - I have another query with this case please.
I waited until Saturday for the item to show up - still nothing. The seller has got in touch with me today to say she has spoken to royal mail regarding compensation and because she is unable to put a claim in until 21st August when Royal Mail class it as lost, she is refusing to issue me a refund until then.
This has really irriated me as I have been very patient and polite -any suggestions on what I should do now please?MFW!

I would echo what Crowqueen has said. Last year I had a no show of an item I sold. I asked buyer to check with his sorting office (because I didn't know which, of 3, it could be at) and he said it wasn't there. I refunded him.
Got the form from RM and waited for the time to elapse for me to claim. In the interim it turned up, back here, with a slip left/not collected at PO sticker on.
Buyer bought it from me again.
Thing is YOU have no contract with the PO, the seller does. Your contract is with the seller - she cannot delay fulfilling your contract because a separate contract she has with a third party hasn't been fulfilled.
And, if you sell block the seller from buying from you;)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Crowqueen, Valli and Soolin - thank you for your replies.
I sent a message to explain (very politely I might add!) why I wasn't happy with their response and that I would require a full refund today. Had that not have worked I would have immediately opened a case. However, they replied very quickly to say that they have issued the refund
I'm very grateful for your help with this so thanks again.MFW!

But have you checked that they have actually done what they said they would? Assuming it's through Paypal, I would have thought it should be showing in your account now. If it's not, then they're probably still trying to string you along.0
