Catalogue debt letters - but I haven't set one up?!

Hi everyone, hope you are all good.

I have received a letter to my address claiming that I owe Marisota (Part of JD Williams) money and that it has been passed to Tocatto.

I have never ever had any dealings with them before in my life.

I contacted Tocatto this morning and spoke to a lovely lady who assured me I had nothing to worry about and that she would pass it on to her fraud team and for me to contact Experian and they would removed the details from my credit file. I have emailed Experian this morning at the relevant address as it seems that this is the only way to contact them in the first instance.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them before, and was it resolved quickly? I'm not too bothered but it's just over the last 4 years I have worked very hard to get my credit rating back up again and it has now been knocked back down for something that isn't even to do with me!! I know it will get resolved - but how annoying

Happened to me. Took a couple of months and some hassle to resolve but it was done eventually. Hopefully your experience will be better and quicker so good luck
