Hi,

I've sorted out a current account (Smilemore) and I'm now in the process of getting rid of Santander.

After all the carry on with the Natwest fiasco a few weeks ago, is it worthwhile opening up a secondary account, just to keep spare money in?

CRA reports range from good to very poor. No O/D or credit would be required.

It's always worth having a spare account.

Always worthwhile having backup accounts even if you can only get a basic one. Why cancel the Santander one, keep that as your 2nd account.

The Santander one is a Premier, £20 a month jobby, but they refused me a BT CC, so I'm in the process of closing down the account.

You could just downgrade it to a normal Santander account? Or are you that angry about the credit card!

    Hi Callum,

I am a bit. When you're led to believe one thing, and the opposite happens, well, the way I look at it, they are not getting my business.
