    Many thanks for your email and subsequent phone conversation.

    As discussed, I'm happy to confirm the problem you've been having isn't with the website but is an issue we're currently having with our meter database.

    Since last year, we've been transferring all meters on to a new database. Whilst most have gone over smoothly, a number from the last batch transferred have been affected.

    As advised by Ian, this is a known issue and will be fixed when the final batch of meters are transferred over the coming August Bank Holiday weekend.

    Sorry for the inconvenience Peter and to anyone else affected.

    I'm quite surprised with the delay in applying a fix. It should be on as a business critical issue with it affecting billing.

    It must be complicated if they need so long to fix it.

    I can't log in to my online account at all. I was about to give a meter reading then I'm off to Scottish Power.

    I've been with EON for years but I can't afford to stay with them.

    I got both my gas and electricity readings through ok online, at the beginning of this month, although the electricity one wouldn't work properly and it took several attempts to get it through.

  • The on-line meter reading facility was available to me until last night when I tried to access it, only to find I couldn't gain access to my account at all. I'm not the only by the sound of it. I'll have to phone today with my readings, as I've just changed tariff.

    Been trying since Saturday with no luck and now found this thread

    Will wait till the end of the month, seems a pretty slow fix

    I have logged in to my online account this morning to double check and all appears to be ok now with entering your readings online.

    If you can send me a screen shot of the error message that you're getting to the email address in my profile page, I can pass it to the online guys and see what's going wrong.
