How long does it take them to send out a new V5?? Bought a new car at the end of July and went to tax it with the old v5; signed where I needed to sign and the lady behind the counter at the post office said they'd send the remainder of the form back to Swansea. Nothing has arrived yet and I'm just wondering if it's just that the DVLA have a long turnaround period or has that form fallen down the side of the Post Office's sofa??

I changed my car at the beginning of June and the V5 for the new one took about 3 weeks to arrive.0

It can take up to four weeks. Give it until the last week of August before chasing it up.0
