    In general, no.
    A decision maker can decide to place you in any group on the basis of only the initial application, if they choose to do so, without even requiring an ESA50 to be filled in.
    This will be extremely rare, in most cases.
    In general, that question is not helpful, because you can't stop them requesting a new medical, so their power in principle to use the old one never arises.
