Cheaper tariff not listed?
Hi,
I signed with OVO energy some years ago now and have had no problems whatsoever. Customer service, on the rare occasions I've needed it, have been excellent.
Anyway, the subject of this post is that OVO was not even mentioned in the article. I was easily able to download my usage statistics from their site together with a projection of my next year's costs after the small increase in October when my existing fixed term expires.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that EDF Blue was going to be £85 more expensive than my projected costs with another fixed deal with OVO.
Credit where due though, EDF's quote system said I was already on a great deal and they couldn't improve on it but to check back in the future
Far better than the false claims made by uSwitch last time I looked which was several years ago now. Everyone promised big savings until confronted with actual consumption figures! Caveat Emptor indeed!
Colin

Where are OVO tariffs not listed?
What article are you referring to?0 -
Hi,
The headlines of the article in the newsletter quotes EDF Blue, Scottish Power and First Utility. Reading the article only highlights these 3 also.
I am sure that if I went to uSwitch / go compare etc. then I would probably find OVO as well.
My point was that the headline highlighted a 'deal' that was quite a bit higher then my increased charges will be when I renew for another fixed year.
No more, no less.
BTW, I have no connection with OVO other than being a satisfied customer.

Lock in cheap energy for TWO winters
Ovo is not included as they do not appear to offer any fixed tariff currently that covers TWO winters.0
