Oponeo tyres

Last week I posted about putting different size tyres on the front and back due to me stupidly ordering the wrong size.
Anyway, I got in contact with the company (who were the best priced I could find on the net) after people suggested I would be better off changing the tyres.
I expected a fair old postage fee to return/re-order the correct size, well thats where the priase comes in, Oponeo didnt charge me a penny. They organised the pick-up of my wrong sized tyres, then delivery of the new set, no extra delivery charges.
Well impressed!:T

  • That is impressive, don't often hear about this company but its usually praise when they are mentioned.

    Good result for you.
  • i wouldnt recommend different tyre sizes unless they are the same rolling radius, this is common on big BMW's and Mercedes where the tyres at the back are wider, i got my last set of tyres which happend to be winter tyres from Performancealloys.com for my car, they had them in stock oponeo didnt and were slightly cheaper, but its worth shopping around as some time you can get them cheaper but normally there is very little in it.

Does pay to shop about. Just checked Performancealloys and they were £25 more PER TYRE. (Ouch!)
(Although it says they will price match on the website.)

I hate companies like that. We will price match. Err no thanks i will just goto the site that advertises them at a proper price.

I'm thinking of using them in the future. What is the build date of your new tyres? There should be a week and year production date on the side wall.

Their website says that they can sell tyres up to 3 years old, so I'm just curious.

I bought some Marangoni winter tyres from this company last year. Date was 1411, which given that I bought them in August seemed pretty good to me :)

0712, so cant be much fresher than that, but guess it could just be the luck of the draw if you arnt using mainstream sizes.

I can vouch for this company too. I bought a set of winter tyres from them as they were the cheapest and delivered on time too. A good company!

I got my winter tyres from them last year. Used them twice once for my tyres and once for girlfriends. They were all just a couple of months old. Good service too and prices too.
