Wondering if you guys can help.
My friend has got a atos medical.
It gives a journey time of 1h and 25 mins(by using public transport as suggested by atos)
Journey is by walking, train and bus, the end bit is a 15min walk
Is there a max time they can say you have to travel.and I am assuming they are using a walking speed for their time to walk, which will be nowhere near what they can do.
This is also not the nearest one to them,
would this be grounds to get a home visit.
Many thanks for any replies

Atos are not very accommodating in everything they do so in order to get a home visit you'll have to show you cannot visit their assessment centre. A doctors letter explaining to this outfit would help your friends case.
Check out this Atos FAQ website . However the answer to your question on this website does suggest that one of their HCP will know more than your friends GP about their condition and how it affects them!! Also isn't it convenient that according to Atos the journey would take 5 minutes less than the 90mins travelling time that would cause them issues!!!

My dad had exactly the same situation. They wanted him to travel over an hour to get to the assessment centre and they also suggested bus , train , walking.
He had no other way of getting there and couldn't afford a taxi all that way so he struggled there. At the interview they asked how he got there and he told them . He also told them it took him well over the said time. Anyway they failed him because he got there on the route they suggested! Even though he was in bed in agony for days after0
