Updated - Have I done the wrong thing? eBay case!
Comments
-
Hi All,
Yep the instructions were followed (not by me i wouldn't have had a clue where to start)
Out of sheer anger this morning I emailed eBay and they replied and said I can appeal the case, I have done this but just waiting a response.
The thing that is really annoying is the fact I wouldn't have known it was the way it was without opening the roll!
Grr!!
Thanks for all of your help, I'll keep you updated0 -
This is the problem with ebay cases. Shame you didn't go for Paypal to begin with, it's much more straightforward.
OP make sure you add to the appeal, that you couldn't see the item was faulty until it was opened. You don't need to say much more as it will cloud the judgment of the monkey processing it.0 -
if you paid by paypal ask for money back..it blocks them from selling until its sorted out0

You can't do a claim in PayPal if you have already done an eBay one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Aaaaaa!!!
eBay have denied my appeal and said;
We're sorry you have a problem with your purchase. However, after further review, we'd like to confirm that our original decision still stands.
Sick as a chip!! Anything else I can do?

Take the legal route I mentioned upthread ^^^.
Write to the seller, quote the Sale of Goods Act, and take it from there."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Sorry crow queen!! Little bit angry
thanks, I'll give that a go 0 -
No - it's frustrating. I'd be angry too. eBay have a very ...literal interpretation of their own rules. They do have a bit of a 'computer says no' attitude, even towards buyers.
Good luck."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
