BAA withdraws Express 1/2 price offer

Got the following email from BAA regarding their half price Express offers:

Dear BAA WorldPoints member,

With immediate effect, we have been asked by the train operators to
withdraw the following WorldPoints rewards:
Half price tickets on Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted Express
First class upgrades on Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted Express
We very much regret this course of action which is necessary due to
fraudulent use of these promotions and we apologise for any
inconvenience this may cause. We will continue to work with the
train operators to endeavour to provide an alternative reward
solution and will advise members of any developments in future
editions of eEmporium.

I used it a couple of times and loved it (genuine registeration). Shame Express didn't like it.

This little "loophole" has been pulled as it wasn't a "free" discount code, but a reward code for people shopping at BAA airports. Sure, it was their own fault for having such a slap dash process - of course people are going to take advantage of it. However, you can't be annoyed that it's gone, just sad that even as a BAA card holder with points to use on this, you can't at the moment.

If you want access to it again - if they ever bring it back, get a BAA World points card or Credit card and for every £50 spending at the airport or on the card, you'll get a HEX, STN or GTW express ticket for half price.
