Autoglass Repair failed?

Just wondering if anyone had any experience with an autoglass repair failed?
A couple of months ago now i had a chip repaired on my screen paid for by myself (not got any screen cover on my insurance). I could still see the chip but it felt covered and was signed off as done by the person and i was happy. I was obviously told that it was as good as if it was not there. Good job i thought.
Today i suddenly noticed (must have happened in the morning) that the chip had got two cracks either side of it, just over an inch long. The glass in the place still feels like there is no breakage, no new chips or glue thats come out. I rang autoglass and they said as i had a 'double chip' repair that it may not be covered by their warranty.
I had to ask what the double chip was as i don't remember anything about that, but i can't find my paper work that i had on the day.
The website states that if the repair is successful then its as strong as it was before the chip, there is no new chip and it looks untouched. Is there any way they could get out of this?
Just wondered if anyone had any experience.
Thanks.

that would be for them to prove otherwise.
as far as you see it the repair failed so you want it rectified asap, if the crack is in the drivers view longer than a certain measurement, youd get pulled over and ticketed and told its not going anywhere untill the screen is repaired/replaced.0 -
Whats a double chip repair?
If a repaired chip has failed and cracked then it wasnt as good as new.
You may need to get some decent photo's of the repair though. Decent camera with macro lens.
It needs to be cear enough to show that there is not additional damage to the surface.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
