Bank transferring money

Has anyone else ever had a problem with their bank transferring money between your own accounts?
My OH and her sister have a joint savings account, as well as their own accounts with the same bank.
On a few occasions now, money has been transferred from the joint account into one of the sole accounts without their knowledge/
The bank ( supriseingly enough ) are not too interested, as the money is still in one of their accounts, and not gone elsewhere!
Be interested to hear any comments / suggestions

If this is to prevent the sole account going overdrawn then they are indeed fortunate that the bank performs that service for them, and neither allows the account to go overdrawn nor bounces the payment - both of which would be costly.0

Which bank?
Which specific account product names?
What type of transactions? Branch? Phone? Internet?
Do they have financial problems?
Is the bank applying "right of set off" to recover funds from an unauthorised overdraft?0
