For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.

Just got back from Westfield Stratford, the Entertainer is having a 'flash sale' including up to 90% off a lot of the Olympic stuff.

I got a Police/Beefeater/Soldier with big hat (sorry not sure what they are actually called) figurines, a couple of inches tall for a £1 each, plus same on keyrings and small toys from £1.50 up to big union jack wenlocks for a fiver. 45 inches I think. Lots of stock left but going fast. The guy told me he had more out back. Loads of pens (I passed on these....) Most of the smaller union jack stuff now sold out.

Also they had some of the taxis etc half price for a fiver and the velodrome set can't remember how much.

Oh yeah, also got the equestrian and canoe wenlocks, also £1, they had others available but these were my favs.

The 'London' shop a bit further along was charging ridiculous prices still for the Olympic stuff - the shop was empty!!
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Chelmsley Wood store has boxed Olympic breakfast sets (bowl, plate and mug) for 99p, bowls on their own 39p (not many left), mugs 29p, boxed teapots 99p and boxed egg cups (four in a box unsure of price either 99p or £1.99).

Sorry having a bad day it is Home Bargains.
  • The best item I have seen from the Olympics is a Union Jack Nose Warmer although it was cold but not that cold yet!!!
  • There a lot of Union Jack / Olympic Bargains here... allunionjack.co.uk (sorry cannot add links)

Is this Home Bargains? They had the same at my local. Couldn't resist a bowl and mug for work!

Most appears to be over priced or cetainly can be found cheaper elsewhere from the usual places
