I went in to the Chelmsley Wood 99p store looking for the Olympic sandwich bags mentioned earlier on here. I didnt find any but they had small Olympic coolbags with ice blocks incorporated in the wall of the bag (put the whole bag in the freezer), metal Olympic drinks tins and a plastic drink bottle in the shape of one of the mascots.

Thanx to those who posted about sainsburys t-shirts - they were marked down to a fiver in my tiny local one but scanned at 3 quid! Got a nice key ring in a gift box for a quid and hairbands for 2 quid! And a team GB t towel for a pound something.

Thanks for the tip-off. Got all excited thinking this would be a great buy - found it on Amazon on the modelzone seller bit. BUT - then read the dreadful reviews, so will hang on to my money this time.Thanks anyway for posting.

Just been to Tesco and they were handing out the Olympic mascot soft toys (they ones which started at £10 and have gradually come down to about £3 each,Mandeville, Wendell and the lion?) for free. Had to scan it with the shopping but they were going through as £0.00!
