Very disappointed that everything I looked at was "made in China" - Union jack mugs, keyrings, stickers, Team GB stuff etc...
It doesn't normally bother me, it just seems to be the norm these days. But I would have thought given it was the London games, and Team GB, and everything is emblazoned with the union jack that they would have had them made in the UK.
But I suppose the bottom line was the cost.:cool:0 -
In the central Portsmouth one today, they had Team GB T-shirts half price, but the Olympic ones were still full price.
Glad I'm not the only one feeling they are cut on the small side.0 -

That's odd - everything I have bought is stamped Made in the UK, which I assumed explained the exorbitant full prices.0 -
Maybe I was just looking at the cheaper items like keyrings and mugs etc which were all either Made in China or had COO China stamped somewhere on them.
Was misleading with some items as was talking about "made under license" etc and gave a British sounding company but I think these were the ones where it has COO China - which I took to mean Country of Origin...... unless someone knows differently.
One item (forget which) had made in Czechoslovakia and another in Pakistan or Indonesia.0 -
We got the red and the royal blue TeamGB t-shirt yesterday at half price.
Checked out the grey one and the Team GB white one with the shades of blue Union Jack this morning and they were still coming up at full price. naturally those are the two that I really want!0 -

Thanks for spotting this. Shops really seem to have been burned over these daft 'mascots' - my local Argos is selling them with 80% off and told me they had 'pretty much all the original stock'!0
