Alton Towers short break

Thinking of going to Alton Towers for a couple of days end of Aug. Would like self catering accomodation in area for 2 - 3 nights to make it a short break. We would like to bring our dog who I will stay at accomodation with whilst husband takes children to park ( unless anyone knows any good kennels nearby).
Anyone have any ideas where to stay please?

So not actually Staying in the resort? could use a 2-4-1 Hotel card which Im reasonably evangelical about - and this Alton towers discount -
Now as for the dog, do you mean a local kennel to you or Alton Towers?
I'd ask around friends and family, I'll be honest I've not found many BAD kennels in the UK they are usually run by very animal focussed people - I often found my pup would come back a bit on the tubby side from being spoiled!0 -

Ah so drive the dog down with you? Righty-o i would see if there was a breeder with kennels in the area, that would sort it. I actually think one of the chains allows pets!0

There are lots of self catering places nearby (lovely area) I put "dog friendly accomodation near alton towers" into google and lower micklin farm looks quite nice, good informative website too so maybe email them and ask if they look after dogs or can recommend someone close by, it must be a fairly frequent question I should think?
Have a great time. Oddly Legoland do have kennels on site, I suppose Alton towers is a bit more in the middle of nowhere though.0
