You should easily be able to find some cheaper than that if you aren't too fussy about colour. In Luton for example there is a particular commerical estate that has 3 big tile warehouses within 50 metres of each other and they are very competitive!

hmm seen a couple about but they look pretty small - there's lots of plumbing/builders/paint places around tho so I will have a look about.

porcelain is as easy to cut as ceramic.
i used a cheap throw away hand grinder from bnq - £15
got a porcelain blade off ebay £9 delivered.
also used the tile as upstands instead of skirting board.
really really wasnt hard and im not a tiler at all

not near a tile depot, but just been to see the Cuba tiles in homebase on offer at £9.99 and they are nice, on offer until Tues.

Saw the b&q £7 ones but don't they look cheap

so i think i'll go to some tile warehouses from now to the weekend and see if I find any nice ones cheaper

OH DEAR...I've just had these fitted in my kitchen utility and consevatory and used a dark grout too ....lots of great comments about them....

If your builder has access to a stax trade outlet they also do a very good dark/grey/black tile well within that price range.

The key is just wait until some supplier is offloading tiles,
( have insider info here), are notorious for this.

Line finished, get rid. Bargains to be had,

Not many people would tackle a floor whether tiled in ceramic or porcelain without an electric tile saw, fact.

    Easy job to be honest.;);)

Have to say, factor almost an equal amount for adhesive/tile boards and grout compared to the tile price, into the equation
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
  • some more tiles gone on sale b&q - plain black ones down to £7sqm - not on their website.

I have also just seen that wednesdays are 10% off for over 60s, so I can get my dad to buy them

.....these are porcelain and I'm advised by my builder that these are very difficult to cut....
What a !!!!!!. Porc is not difficult to cut if you have the correct tools.

    Cheers
