Renovating white plastic garden sunbeds

I hope this is the correct place to ask this.
We have been given some old white resin/plastic garden chairs and sunbeds. They have been left outside for sometime and were quite ingrained with dirt etc.
We couldn´t get them clean with and product we tried (cif, barkeepers friend etc) so we decided to jet wash them. Brilliant we thought they are now sparkling white....but.... the jet wash has taken off the smooth surfaces of the chairs and left them quite pitted.. OK for the seating bit as cushions will take the wear, but has anyone any suggestions as to how we can keep the arms looking clean and not get the dirt ingrained again?
Would clear varnish work, floor sealer, white paint, cloth arm covers......? Has anyone else any experience of this happening, what did you do?, what products etc?
Thanks
Sandy

I've used mould and mildew cleaner on our kids garden toys, you'll just need to do it every couple of months, but there is no way to really "seal" them again that I can think of. I know someone who got a table spray painted and that didn't last long.0

I swear by white Stardrops, 89p @ Homebargains. It restored my window that were old grey and dingy!

for stubborn grime put it on neat onto scourer-sponge side give little scrub, rinse then be amazed and do all of it :j
careful using bleach products, it makes plastic go yellow-y

as this has dropped down the OS boards, ive moved this to In my home board to see if someone over here can help
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
