i love seeing kitty pics and would happily invite everyone and their kitties over for tea - but I think my DH would object to more moogs - he is sadly outnumbered and outfoxed by them as it is :rotfl:

What are the personalities of the Savannah's like in general, Ohmochraich? They look beautiful but I have to admit to not having heard of the breed before.

They are VERY assertive cats GinGin :rotfl: but very loving. do not get a Savannah if you want to have beautiful ornaments or peace and quiet.

They are not 'lapcat' type moogs (although luckily neither of mine got that memo) and both my boys are usually found sitting/lying on me and following me around wherever I go asking LOUDLY what Im up to - and if it involves filling their perpetually 'empty' tummies (Manu my brownie has a sweet tooth and has the nickname 'the biscuit thief', my grey boy Jackson feels it is his duty to eat everything that is put down - for EVERYONE.

They mainly 'imprint' on one person and apparently are quite 'aloof' (not mine I have to say...although Manu seems more 'posh' and Jackson appears to be total chav lol).

They are beautiful cats but they do operate at warp speed and if you have walls they will attempt to run up them:rotfl:

They are continually either playfighting with each other or cuddling and licking each other (or one of the Maineys ...Jackson has developed an obsession for tailbiting the maineys over the last 2 weeks - but I think that habit will be short-lived - after a few more smacks of the big cats).

All my cats have a big enclosure (as it is too difficult to safely enclose my garden) and these two are VERY vocal in protecting their turf - the first time I heard their 'snarl' it scared the living daylights out of me - I thought one of them was mortally wounded - but they were just warning a passing stray away. They can sound quite scary when they hiss and snarl but they have the Loudest purr and their chirping is hilarious. I would recommend them to anyone who has the time to give them the attention they demand (they get bored easily - and thats when they become wee criminals). Beautiful wee personalities - but totally keep you on your toes - and very, very talkative:rotfl:
